One of the best San Diego weekend events going on is the start of San Diego Restaurant Week. Starting Sunday, January 18th and ending Saturday, January 24th, San Diegans can take advantage of the over 200 participating restaurants offering three-course prix-fixe dinner menus for just $20, $30, $40 or $50 per person and/or two-course prix-fixe lunch menus for only $10, $15 or $20 per person. You don’t need tickets or passes to participate in this week of discounted dining. All you have to do is show up at any participating location or call ahead to make a reservation to ensure your chance to indulge with these great discounts.
Once you’ve had your fill of restaurants, another one of the amazing San Diego weekend events to attend is the musical stylings of the Takács Quartet. This quartet is recognized as one of the world’s greatest ensembles, and they will be performing at La Jolla Music Society on January 17th from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm. There will also be a pre-concert lecture at 7 pm. Tickets are $30 – $80, depending on seating. Make sure to check out the unique Takács Quartet as they play Debussy, Bartók and Beethoven. Another one of the fun-filled San Diego weekend events happening is the San Diego Multi-Cultural Festival. This event is perfect for the whole family. The festival showcases San Diego’s rich cultural and traditional heritage through live entertainment, food stations, vendors, and much more. Bring the whole family and enjoy seeing the traditional heritage music and dancing or the multi-cultural story tellers. There will even be an area specifically for children, so all ages will have fun at this joyous festival. The festival is on January 17th from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, and admission is free.
