East Lake Homes for Sale
In 1986, in San Diego, was created The East Lake community on 3,200 acres, a part of the City of Chula Vista. It was named after a lake formed by the Lower Otay Reservoir, which borders the community to the east. The neighborhood was planned to create a safe, secure, family-friendly community in order to provide its inhabitants with schools, parks, stores, and business centers. The community’s purpose was to be a place to allow families to live healthily and happily. With this purpose and goal in mind, the community of East Lake has received glowing reviews, voted best new home community often and given its residents the kind of community living experience they dreamed of.
For shopping, East Lake residents go to the Eastlake Business Center, Southwestern College Estates Shopping Center, and Otay Ranch Town Center. For larger shopping centers, residents can go into the actual city of Chula Vista to shop. Also located in the city are the Onstage Playhouse, Chula Vista Soak City Water Park, Coors Amphitheater, Southwestern College, and U.S. Olympic Team Training Center. The recently built South Bay Expressway provides convenient access to the area for residents.
Many recreational areas and facilities are available to East Lake residents. Because golfing is a popular sport in the area, Salt Creek Golf Course, Eastlake Country Club, and many other courses are popular destinations. Eastlake III Park, Chula Vista Community Park, Cottonwood Park, Rolling Hills Park, Scobee Park, Heritage Park, Oak Crest Park, Independence Park, El Rancho del Rey Park, Park Land, and Discovery Park are popular recreational areas accessed by residents. With parks of all different sizes and containing amenities like gymnasiums and athletic fields, a resident is sure to find a place they enjoy.
